Tracing back the reference



1. Open access log file by [File]-[Open]-[Local], [Network] or [Address Book]
2. Execute [Analyze]-[Reference Analysis]-[Refrring host name]


3. Execute [Analyze]-[Reference Analysis]-[Referring URI(encoded)]

4. Click left button of mouse to select the line you want to trace back.
5. Click right button of mouse on the line you selected. Then popup menu " Copy to clip board" appears.

6. Start internet browser and paste it at address bar of internet browser, then hit enter key.
You can reach the site where visitor came.
As you can see in below, visitor entered "http access log analyzer" at www.google.com, then www.google.com drives visitor to your site.

Witness Log
or NCSA Common Log ( %{Referer}i directive has to be defined)
or W3C Extended Log (cs{Referer} directive
has to be defined)

3. Select line no. 5.

4. Execute [Analyze]-[Request Analysis]-[Http: Stem]
